Abu Dhabi Finance Week Expands to 35,000 Participants; Fourth Edition Set for December 202

Fifth edition to convene financial leaders and capital managers across four days in December 2026.

Abu Dhabi Global Market will host the fifth edition of Abu Dhabi Finance Week across Al Maryah Island from 7 to 10 December 2026, bringing together more than 800 speakers and an expected 35,000 participants under the banner The Capital Community, Powered by Partnerships. The event runs under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

The four-day programme will deliver more than 70 specialized events. Investors, executives from major financial institutions, policymakers and industry leaders will engage on topics spanning digital financial assets, tokenization, private investments, artificial intelligence, trade, energy, real estate and infrastructure. The agenda is built around deploying capital more effectively and advancing what organizers describe as a more resilient and balanced financial ecosystem.

The 2026 edition follows a strong operational showing the previous year. ADFW 2025 drew 819 speakers and more than 35,000 participants representing organizations managing over US$62 trillion in capital. That gathering produced 82 memorandums of understanding and engaged more than 69 strategic global and regional partners, setting a concrete benchmark the 2026 edition will be measured against.

Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure as a financial center underpins the event’s scale. The emirate ranked first regionally and 12th globally in the inaugural NYU Stern Financial Centres Competitiveness Index released last year. The city hosts more than US$1.8 trillion in sovereign wealth assets, positioning it as a destination for long-term strategic capital deployment rather than short-cycle transactional activity.

Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of ADGM, framed the event’s purpose in terms of ecosystem-level collaboration rather than individual institutional performance. “This year’s theme, Capital Community, Powered by Partnerships, recognises that the future of finance will be shaped not by individual institutions, but by the strength of the ecosystems that connect capital, ideas and opportunity,” he said. “ADFW has become the platform where those conversations translate into partnerships that shape the global economy.”

By contrast with forums that focus narrowly on deal flow, the 2026 programme will direct attention toward how collective strength among sovereign wealth funds, policymakers and innovators is reshaping investment approaches and financial architecture more broadly. Discussions will examine the structural trends transforming global finance, with particular weight given to how partnerships, rather than unilateral capital decisions, are driving outcomes across sectors.

Whether the 2026 edition can surpass the 82 agreements signed in 2025 will serve as one practical measure of whether the partnerships theme translates from agenda to outcome on the ground.
