Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism launched “A Dubai Invite” on July 20, 2026, a structured referral programme that converts resident networks into a direct visitor acquisition channel, with rewards drawn from participating hotels, transport operators and lifestyle brands valued at more than Dh3,000 per eligible nomination.
The programme runs through October 31, 2026, with reward validity extended to December 31, 2026, giving residents a defined window to nominate and a separate deadline to claim. The mechanics are built around a registration and verification workflow. Residents aged 18 and above holding valid Emirates IDs submit an online nomination form before their overseas guests arrive in Dubai. Up to five visitors can be nominated per submission, with additional batches permitted separately. Once a guest lands, the system triggers automatic verification, and the nominating resident receives a claim email within 72 hours. Rewards begin issuing from August 2026 onward.
That 72-hour notification window is the programme’s core service delivery commitment, and it places clear accountability on the verification and notification chain.
The reward structure caps each resident at three packages across the campaign period. Each package draws from a named roster of participating operators: W Dubai Mina Seyahi, The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi, Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Waterpark, Meliá Desert Palm, IHG Hotels and Resorts, Careem and Hala. Benefits span hotel stays, dining offers, attraction tickets and lifestyle deals, making this a multi-sector bundle rather than a single-service payout.
Eligibility boundaries are tightly drawn. Inviting residents must be UAE citizens or residents holding current Emirates ID documentation. Visiting guests must be non-UAE residents arriving on valid tourist visas or eligible for visa on arrival. The programme does not assist with visa procurement; visitors must arrange their own documentation independently. Arrivals by air, sea or road all qualify, provided they fall within the July 20 to October 31 window.
By contrast, the nomination controls are strict on the guest side. Each visitor can be nominated only once, with duplicate submissions automatically disqualified. Combined with the three-package resident cap, these limits define the outer boundary of reward distribution and close off obvious workarounds.
Operationally, the programme shifts acquisition responsibility onto residents rather than visitors, reducing friction at the point of arrival while keeping verification protocols intact. The July-to-October target period aligns with specific travel seasons, and extending claim eligibility through December 31 gives residents time to redeem after the nomination window closes.
Whether the programme delivers on its ambitions depends on three things working in sequence: resident uptake of the nomination process, guest arrivals landing within the specified window, and the participating hospitality brands executing on the promised offers when claims come in.
