Indoor Golf Chain Opens Abu Dhabi Venue; 12-Simulator Complex Launches Mid-2026

Five Iron Golf’s nearly 30,000-square-foot facility at Yas Bay Waterfront is scheduled to open in mid-August 2026, bringing the company’s indoor golf and entertainment platform to Abu Dhabi for the first time. The venue represents one of the more operationally ambitious builds in the company’s international portfolio, combining 12 Trackman-powered golf simulators, multiple bars, private event spaces, and a 12,000-square-foot waterfront terrace overlooking Yas Bay.

The terrace will carry its own bar service and lawn games. Inside, the facility is designed to run across multiple use cases simultaneously: daily play and practice, instructional lessons, competitive leagues, corporate events, private celebrations, and live entertainment programming. That breadth of programming will test the venue’s operational capacity from day one.

Founding memberships are currently available for purchase ahead of the opening. Five Iron has not disclosed pricing or capacity limits for the program, leaving those details unresolved ahead of the mid-August target.

Jared Solomon, Co-Founder and CEO of Five Iron Golf, framed the Abu Dhabi build as a natural extension of the company’s service model. “Five Iron has always been about making golf more accessible while creating places people want to spend time,” Solomon said. “Abu Dhabi gives us the opportunity to introduce that experience to a new audience in one of the world’s most exciting entertainment destinations.”

What changed in the site selection calculus is location. Yas Island sits within a dense cluster of existing entertainment infrastructure, minutes from Yas Marina Circuit, Etihad Arena, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, and Yas Links Golf Course. Disney and the Sphere entertainment venue from Las Vegas are both in development on the island, adding to the long-term footfall projections the company is working against.

Matt Csillag, Partner of Five Iron Golf UAE, described the opening as a regional inflection point. “Opening on Yas Island represents much more than another location for Five Iron Golf,” Csillag said. “It’s an important milestone in our vision of redefining how people experience the game of golf and social entertainment across the Middle East.”

The facility’s interior design draws on commissioned work from six artists: Rabab Tantawy, Anna Tangles, Kav Ahangar, Ibrahim Zaki, Fink 22, and Sneak Hotep. The installations span Formula 1-inspired design, Arabic calligraphy, geometric installations, and contemporary street art. Five Iron described the curatorial approach as an effort to create an immersive environment reflecting UAE culture and creativity.

The Abu Dhabi opening extends a network that already spans 20 states and 7 countries, with established operations in North America and growing presence across the Middle East and Europe. Five Iron’s backers include Coral Tree Partners, North Castle Partners, Callaway Golf, and Danny Meyer’s Enlightened Hospitality Investments. The company has not announced additional international expansion plans beyond this location.

Whether the Yas Bay venue can sustain the full scope of its programming across golf, dining, events, and entertainment from opening day, rather than phasing in services over time, remains the operational question the mid-August launch will answer.
